Neutron Science

Thinned aluminum vacuum shrouds and radiation shields are available for a wide variety of cryocoolers. Cryostats for neutron science are available in both sample in vacuum and top loading sample in vapor varieties with temperature ranges from 1.7 - 325 K or < 3 - 800 K. Please consult the factory for more details.

This thinned aluminum vacuum shroud is designed for neutron science. The 360° window is ideal for minimizing blind spots and provides the axial symmetry required for manipulation of these small and lightweight cryocoolers. The high first stage cooling power ensures fast a cooldown and large net refrigeration on the second stage. The thinned aluminum sample space is also available in our sample in vapor cryostats.

These sample in vapor closed cycle cryostats feature a fast sample change and quick cooldown times. The helium vapor is particularly useful for cooling samples that do not conduct heat well. The non-optical systems come in a variety of sample tube diameters and lengths and are well suited for electrical and magnetic studies. A variety of options allow this system to be customized to fit the researcher's needs.
