Cryocoolers
The ARS closed cycle cryocoolers are pneumatically driven; as a result, there are very few moving parts. We manufacture over 12 different models of cryocoolers, and are able to incorporate modifications to make the system fit the customer's application. It is this flexibility that allows for integration with goniometers, diffractometers and other space restricting applications.
DE-202
Light, Affordable

The DE-202 is a compact, axially symmetrical, small cooling power closed cycle cryocooler. Its small mass makes it uniquely suited for many manipulator and goniometer applications. This cryocooler is ideal for small heat loads, such as sample cooling in R&D applications. It is available in several geometric variations and can be customized for rotation in a tight space. UHV adaptations and cold tip extensions can be provided to position the sample in large vacuum chambers.

DE-204
Best Value

The DE-204 is our midrange cryocooler. The extra cooling power comes in handy for systems with multiple windows or a large number of wires. The modest price difference between the DE-202 and the DE-204 also makes the DE-204 a worthwhile investment towards future expandability and upgrades. The combination of higher power and moderate size make this a great choice for most applications.

DE-210
High Cooling Power

The DE-210 is our largest and most powerful closed cycle cryocooler. This system is ideal for systems where high heat loads and fast cooldowns are required. ARS manufactures both the cryocooler and the laboratory interface, allowing for seamless, trouble-free integration with our laboratory systems.

100 Series
Fast Cool Down

The ARS manufactured 100 series single stage cryocoolers (DE-102F,
DE-104F, DE-110F) reach temperatures below 25 K and are tuned for maximum cooling power in the 77 - 150 K range. These cryocoolers are ideal for large stage cooling or fast cooldown applications. The 100 series cryocoolers are typically bare cold heads, and are geared towards OEMs and system builders who prefer to design their own custom laboratory interface.

DE-302
1.7K Cryocooler

The DE-302 is our lowest base temperature closed cycle cryostat. The DE-302 uses a Joule Thompson (JT) circuit of ILL design as a third cooling stage to achieve base temperatures below 1.7 K, with 40 mW of cooling power at 2 K. The DE-202 is at the heart of the DE-302 and is used to precool the helium gas used in the JT circuit. These system are non optical because the radiative heatload would dimish the cooling capacity.

Orca
Mixed Gas JT Cooler

The Orca Mixed Gas JT cooler uses a unique nonflammable non-toxic gas mixture to cool down to 80 K (-193 C) without the use of liquid cryogens. The Orca is a low cost, low maintenance, solution for replacing cumbersome liquid nitrogen systems that require constant refilling. The Orca cryocoolers have a variety of different gas mixtures available to shift the cooling power of the system into different temperature bands.
