DMX - 20 Description
The DMX - 20 is a low vibration interface for the Displex Refrigerator designed specifically for the stringent requirements of Mossbauer Spectroscopy. The interface fits over our DE-202 flat flange refrigerator. An exchange gas is used to transfer the cooling from the cold end to a sample mount, and a bellows assembly decouples the interface from the cold end. The DMX-20 comes complete with DMX-20 interface assembly, bellows assembly, vacuum shroud, and radiation shield. A variety of windows including beryllium and high purity quartz are available.

Operation (See Principle of Operation Diagram)
The DMX-20 exchange gas interface attaches directly to the warm flange of a DE-202 flat flange cryogenic refrigerator. The assembly is mounted cold end down into the test equipment using the tapped holes on the vacuum shroud mounting flange. The Displex mounting flange is then bolted to a separate rigid framework. Helium gas from a customer supplied cylinder is introduced to the exchange gas cavity. The system is then operated like any other standard Displex cryorefrigerator.
