Helitran LT3 Open Cycle Cryostat

Widely recognized as the standard in lab research circles, the LT3-110 cryostat's simplicity, adaptability, and precision allow research versatility over a wide range of applications(see table below): IR, UV, photoluminescence, X-ray diffraction, Hall effect, resisitivity, and narrow gap magnet studies.
Low heat leak transfer of liquid helium from the transfer line to the sample is controlled by the fine needle valve in the Helitran's cold tip. A heater - also in the cryostat cold tip - permits experiments to 300 K.

FEATURES - LT-3-110 Cryostat

  • Operates with liquid helium in the 2K to 300 K range or liquid nitrogen in the 77 - 300 K range.
  • 450K and 800K high temperature options available.
  • Vacuum shrouds rotatable 360 degs under vacuum.
  • Operates in any orinentation with no loss of performance.
  • Removable patented flexible line allows cold end interchangeability.
  • All sample area components are OFHC copper, brass or 304 non magnetic stainless steel.
  • Helium exhaust heater prevents frost from forming on vacuum shroud and reduces the possibility of cryogen burns.
  • Minimum maintenance requirements.
  • Quick and easy sample changing.
  • Liquid nitrogen use requires only change of cryogen; Helitran equipment stays the same.
  • Accepts WMX series of vacuum shrouds for many research interface requirements
