| Copper Rod and Sapphire Rod Sample Holders Both sample holders have OHFC copper bases. The copper rod sample holder has a 3 mm diameter OFHC copper rod extending from the base. The sapphire rod sample holder has a 2 mm sapphire rod extending from the base. A 5 mm quartz tube, which surronds the sapphire rod for all but the last 3 mm, acts as a radiation shield providing lower temperature at the sample. |
