The Omniplex: CS204-FMX-19N is a top loading, non-optical cryostat designed for magnetic property testing, such as Hall Effect, vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) and Faraday balance experiments. An ARS-manufactured DE-204 cryocooler provides this system’s high cooling power and fast cooldown. The helium vapor it uses is particularly effective at uniformly cooling nonconductive samples.

Like all of ARS’ Omniplex systems, the CS204-FMX-19N has adjustable radiation baffles to optimize sample temperatures, plus features that allow for quick sample change without having to shut down the cryocooler and fast initial cooldown (90 min to 20 K).

The CS204-FMX-19N cryostat comes in a variety of sample tube diameters and lengths, so it is well suited for electrical and magnetic studies. A variety of options allow this system to be customized to fit the researcher's needs. Available options include custom tail pieces (sample space), load-lock gate valves and low vibration interfaces. We also offer a VSM adapter for VSM experiments. The sample stick can use any of the standard ARS sample holders and receive a second set of temperature control instrumentation for fine tuning of the sample temperature.
