Assembly Technician - Compressors, HVAC

Position: Compressor Assembly Technician
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Macungie, PA

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled compressor assembly specialist with HVAC knowledge to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, disassemble, and rebuild compressor units (scroll, reciprocating, screw, centrifugal)

• Perform quality control inspections on compressor assemblies

• Diagnose and troubleshoot compressor mechanical and electrical failures

• Test compressor performance and ensure proper operation before installation

• Install and service HVAC systems incorporating compressor assemblies

• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications

• Maintain detailed records of assembly processes and repairs

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with compressor assembly, repair, and rebuilding

• Strong understanding of compressor mechanics, refrigeration cycles, and component functionality

• Ability to use precision measuring tools and assembly equipment

• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school certification or technical training in compressor technology

• 3+ years of hands-on compressor assembly experience

• Experience in manufacturing or compressor fabrication

• Experience with HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment

• Welding and brazing experience

• Familiarity with various compressor brands and models
